Detection, not verification
Mileage Detective is an independent UK service that detects mileage fraud two ways. Our desk-based Records Certificate establishes whether a vehicle's mileage has been tampered with at any point, by a blocker or a correction device, even if nothing is fitted now, through a multi-point check of official records.
Our specialist inspection goes further and detects an active blocker currently fitted to the vehicle. Together they answer both questions a buyer has: has this car ever been clocked, and is it being clocked right now.
We serve private buyers and sellers as well as dealers, auctions, finance and leasing firms, and insurers, everyone who carries real financial and legal exposure when mileage is falsified.
How we keep our claims honest
Every finding is bounded to what its method can actually support. A desk check states only that records show no evidence of tampering; a physical inspection is required to state no device is fitted now. We'd rather make a narrow, defensible claim than an impressive one we can't stand behind in a dispute.
